Social Work Supervisor III- Adult Intervention

Description of Work
Position provides direct supervision to social workers in the Adult Intervention Team who manages programs and services for the elderly and disabled adult population. Staff responsibilities include investigating reports of elderly abuse and neglect, case management for adult protective services, enhanced care services for rest home residents. License, monitor and assess rest homes and family care homes for quality care and regulatory compliance. Supervisory duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of work flow, case assignment, identifying and implementing training needs, insuring quality of work performance, insuring proper program implementation and extensive community involvement.  Also included are administrative duties such as assisting in recruitment and selection process, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, conducting staff meetings, attending state and local meetings and any other duties as assigned by the Director. Requires the ability to work effectively in a teamwork setting and maintain a cooperative and effective working relationship with team members, community professionals, and agency leaders. Good oral and written communication skills are essential, along with good organizational skills. You must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Must possess and be able to demonstrate minimum computer skills.

Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a master's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supplemental Information
PREFERENCES:  Prefer applicants with job related experience in a Department of Social Services; experience in services to disabled adults and senior citizens, and supervisory experience. Only those applicants meeting the specific requirements above will be considered for an interview.
