Hiring Salary Range:  $35,390 - $45,538



The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Pregnancy Care Manager and provide case management services to client in the Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults programs at Clay County Health Department.



Considerable knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices and their application to individual casework group work and community problems.  Knowledge of psychosocial, socioeconomic and behavioral problems and treatment.  Knowledge of community resources.  General knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and their treatment. Skill in establishing rapport with a client and applying techniques of assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of client's problems.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative superiors, co-workers, local physicians who provide maternity care and care to elderly and disabled,  and members of case load and their families.  Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work.  Prior experience with NC Medicaid relating to long-term care placement of patients desired. 



Prefer applicants with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work (BSW or MSW).

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and one year directly related experience; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience.

*Directly related experience is defined as human services experience in the areas of case management, assessment and referral, supportive counseling, intervention, psycho-social therapy and treatment planning.  An official college transcript is required. 



8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Monday through Friday.  Scheduled hours may be amended to accommodate special or additional services.

Must have or obtain and maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Background check and negative drug test are required.
