Rape Prevention Education Coordinator

The Rape Prevention Education Coordinator is a new position at UNC-Chapel Hill.  We are seeking a creative, energetic individual to provide prevention education and training related to sexual assault for the UNC-Chapel Hill campus.  This position will be housed in the Counseling and Wellness Services department within Campus Health Services.  This position will work to: 1) perform a community assessment and work with the Carolina community to identify assets, potential partners, and student leaders, 2) partner with the Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator to establish and maintain a peer education program focused on sexual assault prevention at UNC, and 3) provide public information and social marketing around issues of IPV prevention at UNC in conjunction with the peer education program.

 

Minimal Qualifications:

·   Master’s degree in health education, health promotion, counseling, social work, public health, higher education or related field.

·   Minimum two (2) years experience of facilitating education and training programs in a university setting

·   Experience working in sexual assault and relationship violence prevention or related field
