Richard
Barth, M.S.W., Ph.D., has provided leadership to the
National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being (NSCAW) since
its inception and has been a leading scholar on the connection
between Child Welfare Services and substance abuse treatment.
He is an author or co-author of four papers from this project
(one in press, and three under review) looking at baseline data
and 18-month follow-up data from NSCAW. He can be reached at

Shenyang Guo, M.A., Ph.D., is an expert in
statistical analysis and health and human services. His numerous
publications include methodological work on the analysis of
longitudinal data, multivariate failure time data, program evaluation,
and multi-level modeling. He has conducted many PSM training
seminars, is co-author on three of the aforementioned papers,
and is authoring a book on propensity score matching. He can

Claire Gibbons, M.P.H, Ph.D., is a scholar
in the areas of health services and child welfare research.
She has been the coordinator for this project. She has also
written extensively about substance abuse and the safety and
health of abused and neglected children. She can be reached
