Families
for Kids in North Carolina: Initial Results
During the implementation of Families
for Kids in North Carolina, Lynn Usher, Judy Wildfire, and colleagues
from the Jordan Institute for Families worked with state and local
partners to develop "performance teams." By establishing such
groups, the Jordan Institute sought to create a permanent mechanism
by which the state and each county could monitor progress toward
the five outcomes emphasized in the initiative. Drawing on findings
from a statewide database they constructed to support evaluation
efforts, the team from the Institute prepared a report describing
initial results.
