Child Welfare Conferences

Since 1994 the N.C. Family and Children's Resource Program has helped the N.C. Division of Social Services plan, promote, and hold a number of child welfare-related conferences. These events have ranged from small, one-day conferences for foster parents of children with HIV/AIDS to three-day statewide events attended by upwards of 850 people. Regardless of their size or duration, these conferences have sought to build the knowledge of foster and adoptive parents, community leaders, and the professionals who work with children and families in North Carolina.

To discuss how we might support you in your efforts to plan, promote, and hold a conference of any size, please contact Ms. Lane Cooke (tel: 919/962-3597; lgcooke@email.unc.edu).

Following are examples of materials we have produced in connection with several past events.
