Registration Information, NCDSS Children's Services Conference 2002

Registration for this conference officially opened December 3, 2001. Registration will close on February 6, 2002.

"Everyday Heroes: Climbing to New Heights," this year's N.C. Division of Social Services Children's Services Conference, will take place at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC on March 4, 5, and 6, 2002.

This conference has three purposes: to honor the achievements of professionals working with families and children in North Carolina, to bring the child welfare and family preservation/family support systems together, and to help develop the knowledge and skills of the attendees.

This conference is open to anyone who wishes to attend, but is specifically targeted toward the following individuals:

  • Directors and child welfare supervisors and social workers from North Carolina's county departments of social services

  • Management and staff from North Carolina involved in intensive family preservation services, family support services, family preservation services, and family resource centers

  • North Carolina's family members and foster and adoptive parents

  • North Carolina's child welfare scholars
