Forsyth County Social Services, Winston Salem, NC  SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION DIRECTOR:  Supervises a range of adult, family, and children's services programs with direct involvement in operational matters as well as short and long range planning of program services. Work includes evaluating the quality of services and ensuring compliance with standards; and providing major input on organizational changes, personnel, and budget issues. Work is performed independently under the director's supervision and is evaluated by observation, in discussions, and through review of reports and case records; may include acting in the director's absence. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Graduation from college with a four-year degree in a human services field or related curriculum including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling and six years of social work or counseling experience, two of which was in a supervisory capacity. Prefer a Masters in Social Work (MSW). A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement. A four-year degree outside of the relevant academic field plus additional years of relevant experience may also be considered.
