DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Position involves services to provide a permanent home for children in the legal custody of this agency. This includes efforts with the child and his biological family to return the child to his home, or to place him in the home of relatives, to legally clear him for the purpose of agency adoptive placement, or independent living.

• Must have ability to thoroughly and objectively gather information; must have capacity to remain calm in stressful situations. 
• Must be able to work effectively in a teamwork setting and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with team members, community professionals, and agency leaders.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degrees must be from an appropriately accredited institution. A certified copy of transcript must be attached in a sealed envelope from the college or university and attached to the application form. 

PREFERENCES:

**Will consider the following minimum education and experience as a work-against with Starting Salary $37,704.00.

Prefer applicants with social work experience in a Department of Social Services and Human Services Degree; or social work experience in a human services setting and a Human Service Degree; BSW or MSW Degrees; or a Human Services Related Masters Level Degree. Bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and one year directly related experience; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience. (Directly related experience is defined as human services experience in the areas of case management, assessment and referral, supportive counseling, intervention, psycho-social therapy and treatment planning.)
