The NC Social Services Jobs registry has been designed and developed by the NC Child Welfare Workforce Collaborative: a project housed in the UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work and funded through a cooperative agreement with the Children’s Bureau.
The purpose of the NC Child Welfare Workforce Collaborative project is to identify and address workforce issues in child welfare in North Carolina. One issue identified was the lack of a central registry for available jobs in social services in NC. Counties had few ways to reach job seekers and similarly, there was no easy way for job seekers to learn about vacancies in county departments of social services or in the state-level Division of Social Services.
The NC Social Services Jobs Registry helps resolve that workforce issue. Job seekers can search posted positions in a variety of ways, and learn more about the counties where jobs are located. County and State level DSS positions can be easily posted to the website.
