I am delighted to hear that you are interested in doctoral study and that you are considering the Social Work Ph.D. Program at the University of North Carolina. We would like to be as helpful as we can as you consider our program.

This home page will provide you with or link you to complete information about the philosophy of the doctoral program, the curriculum and all program components, the faculty and students, and the applications process and forms.

The Doctoral Administrative Assistant can answer questions about the program and about the application process. She is the person to contact for additional written material about the program.

As the Doctoral Program Chair, I can discuss your interests in detail with you and how they can be developed in this program. I strongly encourage you to talk with me or email me before writing your application. I think you can also benefit from talking to faculty members and students in the program.
