WWGS? is a 3-hour workshop designed
for those who are contemplating a graduate social work degree. The
workshop provides an opportunity to meet graduate school representatives
and learn about the components of a successful application portfolio.
Which Way to Graduate School?
is geared to DSS staff. Employees of other human service agencies
are invited to attend as space permits. Upon request, the workshop
can be presented at colleges and universities to undergraduate
social work students. Topics for the workshop include:
- Applying for full time or part time MSW programs
- Developing a timeline and personal strategy
- Writing the personal narrative
- Test-taking strategies
- Financing graduate school
- Information on the NC Child Welfare Education Collaborative
