Scheyett completes Harvard leadership program

Anna Scheyett, associate dean for academic affairs, attended the Harvard Management Development Program June 5-17, at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Mass.

The program is designed for deans, associate deans, program directors and other administrators. Participants were exposed to a cross section of educational modules and skill sets to be an effective manager and leader. They attended lecturers, discussions, case study sessions, role plays and workshops.

Scheyett was awarded a scholarship to attend by the The Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Leadership Scholars in Social Work Education Program. It was a competitive process; CSWE gave just five scholarships.

“I was fortunate enough to meet and work with a number of inspiring leaders in higher education from across the country and internationally, with whom I learned a tremendous amount about leadership from political, structural, symbolic and interpersonal perspectives,” said Scheyett.  “It was an excellent professional and personal development experience.”
