The National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS), co-located at UCLA and Duke University is the coordinating center for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). The NCCTS is seeking applicants for the position of NCCTS Liaison. The NCCTS leads, coordinates and facilitates national collaborations and initiatives across child servicing systems and multiple topical domains; producing child trauma resources, products, reports and information for providers, treatment developers, families and stakeholders. Please note that the NCCTS does not provide direct clinical services to children and families. This position (NCCTS Liaison) currently allows remote work and is anticipated to be a combination of remote and on-site in the future. Position is located at Duke University in Durham, NC.

The NCTSN is a unique federally funded initiative that seeks to improve the quality, effectiveness, and availability of care and services for children and families who are exposed to a wide range of traumatic experiences, including physical and sexual abuse; domestic, school and community violence; natural disasters and terrorism; and life-threatening injury and illness. Combining knowledge of child development, expertise in child traumatic stress, and attention to cultural perspectives, the NCTSN supports the development and broad adoption of evidence-based and trauma-informed treatments. The NCTSN is a collaboration of 140 academic, clinical, and community service centers across the U.S.

The NCCTS Liaison is based within the NCCTS Site Integration and Collaboration Program. This position:
• Works within a team-based environment to facilitate collaboration across the NCTSN as well as provide consultation to an assigned portfolio of grantees around areas of trauma-informed care for children, families, and communities.
• Facilitates communication among NCTSN members, the NCCTS, and other key stakeholders.
• Conducts both in-person and virtual member center site-visits, broker resources, and best practices.
• Provides consultation and technical assistance around various child trauma topics.
• Leads collaboration and practice sharing among Network members.
• Manages and contributes content to various collaborative projects, best practice resources, and initiatives.
• Leads co-creation of activities and initiatives in the NCCTS and NCTSN, focused on the inclusion of and partnering with those with lived experience and expertise.
• Identifies and elevates trends, collaborative successes, and best and promising practices throughout the NCTSN.
• Develops and leads topical collaborative spaces including: communities of practice, collaborative groups, and project workgroups.
• This position does require some travel: 15-20%

Application requirements and instructions:
Experience: Providing consultation and technical assistance; implementing evidence-based treatments and practices (trauma-informed practices, principles, and organizations); partnering with youth, young adults, parents, and caregivers with lived experience, preferred; program development and implementation; consulting in various setting and across disciplines; organizational readiness; working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, group facilitation (virtual and in-person); project management; and some program evaluation experience.

Preferred: Master’s degree and at least 7 years’ experience in a related field preferred (mental health, social work, public health, health care administration, and knowledge of child traumatic stress) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
