News about the School of Social Work’s latest graduate program rankings was highlighted in the Raleigh News and Observer article, “Here’s how NC universities fared in new graduate program rankings,” in the Chapelboro.com article, “USNWR: UNC School of Medicine is top-ranked grad school,” and in The Daily Tar Heel article, “UNC School of Medicine takes first in graduate school primary care program rankings.

The School was also mentioned in The Daily Tar Heel article, “Get your red suits on ladies, Kathryn Heath wants women on top of the corporate ladder.”

Clinical associate professor Jodi Flick was featured in The Daily Tar Heel article, “Carolina Forum of Ethics wants to help you talk about self-care and ‘social connectedness.'” Flick was also featured in the Durham Herald Sun article, “Here’s what one gun-suicide expert would like to see after student walkouts.”

Assistant professor Paul Lanier was featured in the February newsletter distributed by the Doris Duke Fellowships. Lanier is a Doris Duke grant recipient for his work on home visitation in North Carolina.

Professor Mimi Chapman was quoted in The Daily Tar Heel article, “Faculty Executive Committee discusses new free speech policy on campus.”

Clinical assistant professor Tonya VanDeinse was the focus of a “Women in Science Wednesdays,” feature, published in UNC’s Endeavors magazine.

Emeritus professor Dennis Orthner was quoted in The Christian Post article, “In isolated world of pastors, churches mum on troubling clergy suicides.
