Jan. 20 film screening and panel discussion to focus on human trafficking

The UNC School of Social Work’s student organization (SoWoSO) is hosting a screening of the documentary film, “Tricked” on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, from noon-2:00 p.m. in the Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building Auditorium.

“Tricked” will be followed by a panel discussion featuring community leaders on the social issue of human trafficking. The panelists are:

  • Jennifer Stuart, Legal Aid Attorney
  • Laurie Graham, Doctoral Student, UNC School of Social Work
  • Robin Colbert, Associate Director of NCCASA
  • Dr. Rebecca Macy, UNC School of Social Work Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor
  • Liz Leon, Program Director, Alamance County for Freedom
  • Kiricka Yarbough Smith, Human Trafficking Coordinator
  • Christine Shaw, Director of Social Ministries at The Salvation Army

This event is being held in collaboration with Duke Divinity School. It is free and open to the public.
