Lambert to assist India with childhood violence prevention initiative

Professor Michael Lambert will be advising the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) on their new project, Know Violence, a global learning initiative aimed at promoting evidence based advocacy for the prevention of violence in childhood.

Lambert was asked for his assistance with this endeavor because of his expertise and scholarly work on the issue of violence prevention and human development.

PHFI is an independent foundation focused on strengthening education, training, research, policy development and advocacy in the area of public health. PHFI collaborates extensively with a wide range of constituencies in India and overseas including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, agencies and civic groups.

As a member of the Know Violence core team, Lambert will attend the team meeting and launch event at the India International Centre in New Delhi, Nov. 24 and 25. All expenses will be covered by the Know Violence Project.
