Bowen to review safe families program for U.S. Air Force

Kenan Distinguished Professor Gary Bowen has received a subaward of $118,239 through Kansas State University to conduct a systematic review focused on safe, stable and nurturing families and the antecedents that promote these families.

The key aim of this review is to refine the logic model for secondary prevention efforts for family maltreatment in the United States Air Force, by the Family Advocacy Program Prevention, Outreach, and Population Behavioral Health Services.

Doctoral student Todd Jensen and MSW students Crystal Randles and Kaitlyn Taylor are working with Bowen on this one-year project.

Professor James Martin of the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College is serving as a project consultant.
