Mimi Chapman‘s project was featured April 16 in the New York Times’ photojournalism site, Lens. The article also mentions her interdisciplinary UNC grant.

Chapman was also quoted in an April 1 Daily Tar Heel article, “Taiwanese dance company performs with tons of rice.” and an April 22 article, “Faculty Executive Committee examines UNC image.”

Matthew Howard had an op-ed published in the Raleigh News & Observer on March 29, “Misusing inhalents, particularly computer air dusters, prevalant among U.S. youth.”
Howard is also featured in a special insert in the April 15 University Gazette for winning a UNC Distinguished Distinguished Teaching Award for Post-Baccalaureate Teaching and Mentoring.

Lisa Zerden had a Letter to the Editor published in the Daily Tar Heel on April 2, on the importance of equal access to contraception and health services for all women.

The UNC School of Social Work’s Center for Aging Research and Educational Services‘ training is mentioned in the March 18 Davidson County Dispatch (see p. 2).

MSW student Nick Lemmon is quoted in an April 22 Daily Tar Heel article on a Chapel Hill Town Council meeting about the cost of living in Chapel Hill.

MSW student Whitney Sewell is featured in the April 15 University Gazette article, “Eight recognized for important contributions to diversity.”
