Orthner working on project to improve services for National Guard families

Professor Dennis Orthner has been working with the U.S. Administration for Children and Families and the Annie E. Casey Foundation to construct a more comprehensive model for serving our military families in the National Guard across the country. He is helping to prepare a report that provides a framework for multi-level services.

The project, “Working Together to Strengthen Guard and Reserve Couples and Families:  A Closer Look at Challenges and Strategies” comes from a meeting held in Charlotte N.C. in August with representatives from State and Federal National Guard leaders, and family service providers.
