Students celebrate culture at annual Harambee event

Students, faculty and staff gathered on March 22 for the School of Social Work’s annual Harambee multicultural event, which celebrates ethnic, racial and cultural diversity through food, art and performances. Photo Gallery

The audience enjoyed an international potluck luncheon and were treated to quite a show as the talented participants shared poems, personal stories, dances and music. Countries represented included China, India, Haiti, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the United States.

The event was sponsored by the School of Social Work Student Organization, and coordinated by students Laura Aponte-Hughes and Lizette Lopez.
