Alumni update: Axelson ’09, Brice ’03, Hough ’84, Woolley ’03

Sarah Axelson, MSW ’08, recently accepted a position as an adjunct professor at George Washington University. She is teaching a Human Sexuality course for undergraduate students. She has also taken a consulting position with Healthy Teen Network doing training on evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention for Office of Adolescent Health grantees around the country.

Tanya Smith Brice, Ph.D. ’03, was recently featured in the Christian Chronicle in an interview entitled, “Race and the church: A conversation with Tanya Smith Brice.”

Libbie Hough‘s (MSW ’84) company has been named the 2011 Sole Proprietor of the Year by the Institute for Sustainable Development. Communication Matters, of Hillsborough, is a strategic marketing communications firm.

Michael Woolley, Ph.D. ’03, has joined University of Maryland School of Social Work as an associate professor. He was recently featured in their magazine, Connections.
