and Parking Instructions

  • Appalachian State University

    Vivian Thompson writes: "As far as parking goes, it is best to contact the ASU traffic office (828-262-2878) since they have to issue a visitor's parking pass. They need to tell ASU traffic office that they are attending a videoconference in Belk Library, Distance Learning Services. The traffic office will let them know where they can park, since there is a great deal of construction on campus."
  • East Carolina University

  • Elizabeth City State University
    Deborah S. Flippens manages the ECSU site, in the Information Technology Center. The phone number is (252) 335-3703. There is a campus map at http://www.ecsu.edu/ECSU/Campus/map.html.

    Mrs. Flippens sent additional directions: From East of Elizabeth City, Take US 168 to US 158 Southeast. Go west on US 158 to US 17. Once you cross the Camden Bridge, you are in Elizabeth City. Make a left on Water Street and travel approximately 2 miles. (Water Street changes into Southern Avenue and then into Parkview Avenue.) Make a right onto Hoffler Street and left onto Herrington Road. At the light, make a left onto Weeksville Road. The Information Technology Center (ITC) is located at the south entrance (first entrance past the main entrance).

    From the south and east, take US 17 North into Elizabeth City. Once in Elizabeth City, take US 17 Business to Halstead Blvd. Turn right and go three to four miles until Halstead Blvd. turns into Weeksville Road. The Information Technology Center (ITC) is located at the south entrance (first entrance past the main entrance).

    The ITC has a blue roof and is on the left. The ECSU videoconference center is in the ITC on the first floor. Participants will need to get a visitor's pass from Campus Police.

  • Fayetteville State University

    Frederick Bittle is the Video Manager/Program Coordinator (Phone (910) 486-1888, Fax (910) 484-1273, Fbittle@uncfsu.edu. See the website at http://www.uncfsu.edu/dlc/index.htm. Here are the directions posted there: From I95 North/South – Turn Right onto Grove St. Proceed to Ramsey Street. Turn Right onto Ramsey Street. Proceed North to Langdon Street. Turn Left onto Langdon Street. Campus Police Located on the Left 1/2 Mile; they issue maps and parking permits. The Conference Room is located in the lower level of the Telecommunications Building. There is a campus map at http://www.uncfsu.edu/graphics/campus/campusmp.htm.

  • UNC-Asheville
    John Myers writes that the teleconference will be in the Steelcase Teleconference Facilty. "Due to construction and the closing of some parking lots, the parking regulations have been temporarily suspended. No permit is needed for the summer. Park wherever space is available." The Steelcase Teleconference Center facilities are located on the first floor of the Robinson Hall Science Building, room RBH 129.   • UNC-Chapel Hill

Participants driving a state car may park (for free) in marked service spaces on the campus (be sure to observe any time limits), but the parking monitors are otherwise very vigilant about ticketing.
  • UNC-Charlotte
    Natasha Stracener (704-687-2435) writes: "Go to www.uncc.edu, and select Campus Map. We are in Atkins Library room 125. The room is located in the back of the main floor of the library, Building number 1 and 16 on the map. Park in the Visitor's Parking Deck, which is located beside the Cone Center. It is labeled Parking Deck 1 on the map. Parking is $3.00/day. There is also a link to directions to campus on the main campus page."
  • UNC-Greensboro
    The Teaching and Learning Center at UNC-Greensboro is in the McNutt building. UNC-G's website has directions and a map, http://www.uncg.edu/tlc/directions.html. The contact is Lane Ridenhour, (336) 334-3909.
  • UNC-Pembroke
    Visit the UNC-Pembroke website for directions to the UNC-P Interactive video facility, located in Room 125 of the Business Administration building. There is also a campus map. Emily Autumn Love is the Video Manager/Program Coordinator, Phone: (910) 521-6563;Fax: (910) 521-6564. Note that you should stop by the Cashier's office in Lumbee Hall to get a visitor's parking permit.
  • UNC-Wilmington
    Owing to construction on campus, the location of the videoconference will change from meeting to meeting. Daniel Noonan, the coordinator for that site, will let Holly Henderson know where the meetings will be. You can contact her at (910) 395-4553, Ext. 204, or Hhenderson@capefearcog.org. The March 9 teleconference will be held in Warwick Center Room 104. Here's the link to the campus map: http://www.uncw.edu/ba/campus_map.htm. You may park anywhere on campus as a "visitor," but you could receive a parking citation. If you do, fill out the back of the ticket, indicate that you were a visitor, and return it to the address provided to ask that the penalty be waived. Lot E is closest to the Warwick Center.
