The School of Social Work is committed to maintaining life long relationships with our students and alumni. Alumni are important to the School in many ways; you identify potential applicants, provide financial support, mentor students, provide feedback on changes in the profession, and serve as field instructors. In other words, you are an important part of the School's progress and continued success. I urge you to take advantage of the opportunities the School offers to alums to stay connected by volunteering to be an Alumni Council member, attending alumni events and making suggestions for future activities, participating in recruiting functions, attending continuing education and contact hour offerings, and by keeping updated through Contact and E-Contact. If you would like to update your contact information, share your career and family news, or if you are not receiving E-Contact or Contact, please send a message with your updated information to sswalumni@unc.edu. For information about any alumni events or to make a suggestion for a future activity, please contact Kristen Huffman at kristen_huffman@unc.edu or (919) 843-7285. For information on giving to the School, please contact Mary Beth Hernandez at marybeth@email.unc.edu or (919) 962-6469. The School is developing a list of alumni that new grads could contact with employment questions. Please email Kristen if we can add you to this list. There are many ways to stay in touch with the School. If you have not been involved with the School since graduation, now this is the perfect time! Sincerely, |
