The School of Social Work is offering the following course during the first summer school session:
Course: "When Their World Falls Apart: Managing the Effects of Disasters on Families and Children"
Schedule: Mondays, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Description: This course is designed to examine the effects that disasters have on children, their families and communities. The course gives students an understanding of how to deal with survivors' reactions to trauma and how to decrease the chances of long-term damage when disaster strikes.
