Anna Scheyett, clinical associate professor at the School of Social Work, was honored in December by The National Association of Social Workers North Carolina Chapter (NASW-NC), Eli Lilly and Company and The Coalition for Persons Disabled by Mental Illness (CPDMI) for her outstanding contributions to the field of mental health.
Sheyette was honored as a part of a state-wide recognition program called “Heroes in the Fight.” This recognition program was established by Eli Lilly and Company to celebrate dignity, courage, hope and recovery in the ongoing treatment of persons with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) by recognizing “heroes” who provide care and support for individuals with SPMI and their families. .
